Just rumors, flamers, and all around humor persists as we await the next game.
What will the game be called?
Many people believe that the next game will be called "Shadow Realm" some have also claimed that it will be called
"Dragon Born" I have yet to have actualy seen the proof of this. Many well wishers have attemted to guess at the
name, my favorite guess primarily because it was funny was "The Empire Strikes Back".
Where will the game take place? Well, what areas have not been made
into its own game yet?
Arena: Encompassed all of Tamriel, but was randomly generated so I
dont think this crosses out any of the provinces.
Daggerfall: Lets you run around in the High Rock and Hammerfell
Provinces. This game was also the largest of all of the games
made thus far. Even though the terrain was randomly generated
the games map was not. This can probably rule out High Rock,
and Hammerfell.
Battlespire & Redguard: Both are linear quest games, that although the
main characters make it into the TES lore, they probably wont
have any effect as to where the next game will be located.
Morrowind & its Expansions Tribunal, and Bloodmoon: All primarily
placed within the Morrowind Province except for Bloodmoon
which is mostly played on an Island named Solstheim. So I think
that Morrowind can be crossed off of the list.
Stormhold, Dawnstar, & Shadowkey: These are phone games, and therefore do not count!
Oblivion, Knights of the Nine, & Shivering Isles: All mainly take place in Cyrodiil, Oblivian and the realm of Sheogorath, so It seems we may cross Cyrodiil off.
That leaves Skyrim, Summerset Isle, Valenwood, Elsweyr, and the Black Marsh. Not to mention the other continents of
Nirn, such as Akavir, Atmora, Aldmeris, or even the sunken Island of Yokuda. Or maybe some continent on the far side
of Nirn that has yet to have been discovered. So there you have it.
There have been many, many, sad flame wars on random nerd filled forums, that I have been witness to. All
concearning this topic. "Its Skyrim, I just know it, because its next to Morrowind!" one will say and then a troll will pop
out of nowhere and write a 20 page essay to describe why this man is an idjitt, and how "it's obviously Valenwood,
because not much has been said in the..." and so on and so forth. One thing is for sure, it will be on Nirn, and it will
kick ass!
